We’ve opened another exciting new facility in Thamesport
The facility was designed to make customs clearances as painless as possible for our clients.
Charles Kendall Freight continue to go from strength to strength building a UK network with full-service locations at all major UK ports with the opening of our new Thamesport location.
The 160,000 square feet facility is open 24/7/365 and includes offices, a warehouse, and an extensive vehicle processing area.
The location is designed to be a Fast Track clearance facility for inbound and outbound European short sea and Channel Tunnel customers to and from Europe in response to Brexit.
The 20,000 square feet warehouse has an x ray facility and is designated both an Export Place (DEP) approval site as well as an External Temporary Storage Facility (ETSF). This allows CKF to offer the seamless clearance of both import and export traffic which allows our customers to avoid more congested facilities elsewhere.
Additionally, the facility has approval from HMRC to perform simplified export & import customs clearances using the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Clearance of Wheels (COW) procedures. The vehicle processing area has capacity to receive up to 50 vehicles and includes covered inspection bays.
Charles Kendall Freight’s investment in this new Thamesport facility follows the company’s recent opening of a second Logistics Centre in Felixstowe and underscores the company’s commitment to offering a truly multi-modal, full-service network serving all major UK ports.
This exciting development demonstrates CKF’s innovative spirit and all of the CKF Team can feel proud of the speed with which this site was brought into service.
