August saw two key accreditations being achieved by our Freight division; ETSF status awarded at the Felixstowe warehouse and IIP status retained for the UK Freight division as a whole.

ETSF: Thanks to the efforts of our expert Compliance team and Branch manager, the FXT warehouse in Great Blakenham was approved as an ETSF site (External Temporary Storage Facility). This allows for containers to be cleared under customs bond guarantee benefiting our customers by keeping cargoes under our control right through to delivery. IIP: Charles Kendall Freight were delighted to confirm they had successfully met the new IIP (Investors in People) standards and would therefore be retaining this prestigious accreditation. IIP is a standard for people management which was started by the UK government in 1991. In 2017 they became an independent not-for-profit organisation. Maintaining IIP status is a recognition that we as an organisation look to improve performance and realise our business objectives through the management and development of our people.
