Dubai to Spain Out-of-Gauge Shipment

Charles Kendall Ayezan recently secured a project movement of 5 x 40 flat racks of out-of-gauge cargo, holding 10 units of pressure vessels. The project was referred to us by one of our IFC8 network partners.

The Situation

The cargo was originally manufactured by a leading engineering giant in JAFZA, Dubai. Charles Kendall Ayezan were required to complete the full export to Spain, whilst overcoming challenges such as vessel cut off times, last minute requirements and a very tight project delivery deadline.

The Solution

Many challenges arose throughout the out of gauge shipment, but the project was supervised and managed by two of our very capable staff with great care and precision.

The team kept a close eye on the loading and lashing onto the flat racks, and ensured surveyors certificates were provided throughout the process as per shipping line regulations. Careful planning of truck arrivals at the place of loading was required, and it was essential that the trucks arrived in the correct order to ensure safe lifting.

The team were on a tight schedule, and last minute doubts on cargo readiness meant it was a race against time to meet the vessel cut off time.

The Result

Thanks to careful planning and attention to detail from our team, Charles Kendall Ayezan successfully completed the export by the end date provided. The agent was pleased with our efforts and were complimentary of our ability to meet such a short time frame.
